Das Racist is a white guilt art project/science experiment/ponzi scheme piloted by @heems, KOOL A.D. and The Honorable Prophet Dapwell. Their goal is to make a million American dollars.

Smith Westerns are Cullen Omori (vocals, 21yrs), Max Kakacek (Guitar, 20yrs), and Cameron Omori (Bass, 19yrs). Since forming in 2007, Smith Westerns have toured both the United States and Europe while supporting the likes of MGMT, Belle and Sebastian, Girls, and Passion Pit. Their self-recorded “lo-fi” self-titled debut was released in 2009 and garnered critical acclaim for its youthful and glam rock tinged approach to pop music. In the summer of 2010, Smith Westerns teamed up with Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TVOTR, Beach House) to record their sophomore effort in a proper studio the results of which became Dye it Blonde. Released January 18th on Fat Possum Records, Dye it Blonde retains the charm of their debut but without the same financial shackles the result is a beautifully clean high quality recording of lushly layered pop songs.
